​ALL OFFICIALS are permitted a maximum of ONE unexcused absence from a General Meeting during each season (Girl's Season and Boy's Season) in order to maintain their status as a "member in good standing".

Matches that are assigned to officials on dates that meetings are held constitute an "excused absence" and require the official to ONLY read through the Meeting Minutes from the meeting that was missed and send a written summary demonstrating an understanding of the topics covered with a reference to the Rules in the book to admin@sdvballref.org.​

The 1st unexcused absence subjects the member to the current make-up policy and requires a meeting summary to be submitted.

2 unexcused absences or more by a member, places the individual as a "member not in good standing" as described in the SDFVOA Constitution and By-Laws.

To make up an absence for a General Meeting during the season you must complete both of the following:

• Go to a Varsity match, sit in the stands and keep score for the full match.

  • The official does not need to be in uniform.  Make sure the R1 signs the score sheet and must send a picture to admin@sdvballref.org

• Additionally, the official must read through the Meeting Minutes from the meeting that was missed and send a written summary demonstrating an understanding of the topics covered with a reference to the Rules in the book.​

  • The written summary shall be sent to admin@sdvballref.org no later than the Saturday following the meeting date that was missed.
